Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy explains how Noviq processes information when you use its Discord bot and management dashboard.

2. Information Noviq may process

Noviq may process Discord identifiers such as user, guild, role, channel and message IDs; Discord account information supplied during OAuth; server configuration; ticket records and transcripts; moderation cases and reasons; logging events; reaction-role, command and scheduled-message configuration; and session information required to keep authorised dashboard users signed in.

3. Why information is used

Information is processed to authenticate administrators, operate requested bot features, enforce configured permissions, create tickets and moderation records, route logs, maintain configuration, diagnose failures, protect the service and provide an auditable history where a feature requires one.

4. Discord and third parties

Noviq relies on Discord and hosting/infrastructure providers to operate. Information sent through Discord remains subject to Discord’s own policies. Infrastructure providers may process technical data as necessary to host or deliver the service. Noviq does not claim that these third parties are controlled by Noviq.

5. Cookies and sessions

The dashboard uses a session cookie to maintain authenticated access after Discord OAuth. The cookie is intended for authentication and security rather than advertising. Session lifetime can be configured by the Noviq deployment.

6. Retention

Data is retained for as long as reasonably needed to provide the configured feature, maintain server records, secure the service or meet applicable obligations. Some records, such as cases or transcripts, may remain until a server administrator deletes them or the deployment’s data is removed. No universal fixed retention period is stated because retention differs by feature and deployment configuration.

7. Sharing and sale

Noviq does not need to sell personal information to provide the service. Information may be disclosed where necessary to service providers, at an authorised server administrator’s direction, to protect users or the service, or where legally required.

8. Security

Reasonable technical and organisational measures should be used to protect Noviq data, including authenticated dashboard sessions and permission checks. No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to processing of personal information. Server-level records may also be controlled by the administrators of the Discord server in which the data was created.

10. Children

Noviq is intended for use alongside Discord and is not designed to override Discord’s age requirements. Server administrators remain responsible for operating their communities appropriately for their audience.

11. Changes

This policy may change as Noviq’s features and infrastructure change. The effective date above will be updated when the policy is revised.
